During our close collaboration with Urquiola on special interior projects, we had the idea of asking her to extend the design studies she was conducting on complex geometry to a door handle. Adamant has its origins in the taking apart of volumes and planes, which are then skilfully recomposed to form a broad, comfortable handgrip.

With a glossy finish, the result of this small but complex operation is emphasised. Its name was chosen in reference to the diamond and its faceted surface, multiplying reflections in a thousand directions, but still possessing formal clarity.
