This handle was specially designed for the private hospital Casa di Cura La Madonnina in Milan by Eugenio and Ermenegildo Soncini with Gio Ponti in 1957. It comes in two sizes – a longer 18-centimetre handle and a shorter 14-centimetre one – and two materials, either anodised aluminium or brass. The shape was studied for easy use by the elbow, and from angled positions.
