Conservatorium Hotel Amsterdam
Amsterdam, Netherlands
Piero Lissoni, 2011
Piero Lissoni is the designer behind the masterful renovation of this historic, illustrious building located just steps from the Van Gogh Museum, transforming it into a luxury hotel. To convert the look of the former Sweelinck music conservatory, built at the end of the 19th century, the Milanese architect opted for a sleek look, a knowing blend of modern and contemporary chic.
Furnishings for the public areas include iconic pieces of well-known Italian craftsmanship, appreciated around the world, like Kartell, Cassina and Living Divani. Placed alongside vintage Asian rugs, they lend a sense of homey comfort. Link door handles by Olivari.
