In imagining an object functional to the gesture of grasping a lever to trigger an action and transform space – to open or close it – Franco Albini and Franca Helg design a handle with the lightness of a bird’s wing or the profile of a flower, taking an expressive direction of restrained organicism. Its design reflects the passionate search for a point of balance between something and its opposite: between sensuality and geometric linearity, between solidity and lightness, between the graphic exactness of the line and the volumetric consistency of the material.
